When it comes to soccer games, many factors make soccer games unique and different from other ball sports. Soccer rules for beginners include the type of ball used or played and the number of players on each team. The length of the field can also be modified based on the age of your players, but the field should still be rectangular, with three sides. The size of the ball used is dependent on the ages of your players too. For instance, the youngest players usually start with a Size 3 soccer ball, and as they grow, ball sizes increase to a size 4.

Kicking The Ball

One of the most basic principles of soccer is kicking the soccer ball. Kicks are categorized according to the direction they are facing (up/down) and the height. If the direction is up, then the ball goes up in the air and strikes the ground in the kicker’s direction. Soccer rules for beginners describe the surface and height of the area on which a kick is made.

Another rule that is crucial for all soccer players in the ‘offending’ part. It explains that a player who is not performing a foul will not be given a penalty kick. However, if a foul is committed, the opposing team will have the right to take action against the offender. The opposing team can have their defenders tackle the perpetrator or send a team member to restrain him. A red card is given when a player is shown a red card, and he cannot play the next game for a certain number of games.

Basic soccer rules also describe how the ball is kicked. The players stand shoulder to shoulder, with each team player holding the ball between his feet. When a player makes a kick, it is done so by bringing the feet together and pressing the butt of the foot down firmly on the ground. When a kick is made by a player and the ball touches the ground before it is released, it is a ‘ground kick.’ The purpose of a kick is to hit the opposing team’s goal.

Wearing The Proper Attire

One of the simplest rules of soccer is to wear the proper attire when playing. This attire includes a light-colored top and shorts. The shoes used for soccer must be lightweight with solid soles. Youth soccer shirts are made for youth sports and are not designed for playing a contact sport. They are designed for use during the game and to protect the player from the elements. These shirts also come in many colors and are generally washed after every game.

Some of these basic soccer rules are designed for indoor play only, but they are universal and designed to allow for fun and safe gameplay. Regarding kicking, there are two different types of kicks: the through kick and the short kick. The through kick is done by striking the ball with the middle of the foot. The short kick is done by bringing the heel of the foot up toward the ball with the toes.

Final Words

The soccer ball is placed inside of the ‘fenced’ field at the edge of the goals. The goal is considered to be the ‘end line’ when the ball crosses this line. This ‘end line’ is the spot on the side of the goal nearest the net center. The opposing team starts the game by having five men on each team, two goalkeepers, and three field players (outfield players). The soccer rules of soccer state that the referee will start the ball rolling once the game has started.
